Amber Hamilton is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Australian Board of Psychology and is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association.

Amber completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at the University of New South Wales and then completed the Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Sydney. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Attachment-Based Family Therapy. She has assisted people in overcoming difficulties related to anxiety, panic, obsessions/compulsions, depression, grief, trauma, behaviour management and complex family dynamics. She has a range of experience working in both public and private health settings.

Amber understands that therapy is not one size fits all and is passionate about ensuring that therapy is a collaborative process. She works hard to try and understand each person’s unique situation, develop a personalised formulation, and identify an appropriate approach to therapy. She aims to foster a non-judgmental safe space.

Amber enjoys working with adults as well as with young people and their families. In addition to working at ST Psychology, she also works with adolescents and their families at the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. Whilst Amber is passionate about her clinical work, she also works for an international psychiatric journal and looks to incorporate the most up-to-date and evidence-based research into her therapy.
