Shirley Till is a Senior Clinical Psychologist with a passion for working with adults, children, adolescents and families. She enjoys helping clients with a variety of different presentations, including anxiety disorders, depression, complex trauma, obsessive compulsive disorder, grief, eating disorders and other challenging psychological issues.
Shirley is experienced in a number of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) and Family Based Therapy (FBT) for Eating Disorders.
With extensive experience in both the public and private mental health systems, Shirley was part of the leadership team that set up the Brolga Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Unit in 2013. As the Allied Health Clinical Lead, she established the therapeutic framework and trained the team of clinicians to deliver effective and targeted therapy for adolescents and families in acute crisis. She is currently running the Eating Disorders Service at Rivendell Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Service.
In addition to her clinical work, Shirley is passionate about investing her time in the training of future psychologists and has been providing clinical supervision for many years. She is an Adjunct Lecturer at University of Sydney, Macquarie University and Australian Catholic University and was previously an invited lecturer at the National University of Singapore and Assumption University in Bangkok.
She is registered with the Australian Board of Psychology and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
